MacLeod Computer Systems is pleased to provide Internet Web Hosting Services for our clients. We offer an attractive alternative to the high priced services found elsewhere. We will host your web site for just $60 per year with very few restrictions. The main restriction is that we do not, for security reasons, allow remote maintenance of your web pages. All changes must be made by us, although you can send updates to us by e-mail if you wish.

As a provider of these services, MacLeod Computer Systems offers the following:

If you don't currently own a domain name (i.e. www.yourcompany.com), we can handle the registration for you. The ownership of this name will be in your hands, so you maintain complete control (although we will handle the details and administration for you).
We will set up your web site for you or accept files generated by you. The site can be as simple or complex as you desire.
We will revise and update your web site for you whenever you wish.
For an additional fee, we will set up domain name e-mail boxes for you (yourname@yourcompany.com). This presents a much better image to your clients than the use of a third-party domain name (i.e. UserID@YourISP.com). Also, your e-mail address will remain constant even if you change your local internet service provider. This eliminates the need to reprint business cards and stationery if you change your ISP.
Your e-mail box can be accessed either with a traditional e-mail program (i.e. Outlook) or with any web browser from anywhere in the world.

Rates

Domain Name Registration. Depending on the registrar used and the number of years purchased, charges range from about $8 to $10 per year and are billed to your credit card. We will administer your account for you, if you wish, at no additional charge beyond the registrar's actual fee.

Web Site Setup. A one-time setup fee of $80 includes setting up a basic web site with your logo and/or photos, company name and address, links to your e-mail boxes, and any text which you supply. Revisions and the creation of additional pages are billed at $80 per hour.

The annual fee for hosting your web site is $60 per year. There are no ongoing charges for a reasonable number of additional web pages.

Terms. The setup fee and first year of service are due in advance ($140 total). After the first year, we will bill you annually. Revisions to the site are billed on an hourly basis at the time they are completed. Web hosting is not subject to sales tax.
